An automatic water level recorder continuously records the flow rate in a water race to ensure the required amount of water is supplied to the property.

Regular reports on daily and maximum flow rates can be provided to the client, together with tables and graphs and comments on compliance with consented flow rates and volumes.

Telemetered recorders allow instant access to the information, which can be processed and either sent to the client or made available on the internet.

Pipe flow is measured using an ultrasonic flow meter attached to the outside of the pipe.  Our meter is the same make and model as that used by the ECan Timaru consent monitoring staff.  Here, both meters are compared for consistency and accuracy.

The meter can measure any liquid flow (e.g. water, glycol, diesel etc) within a wide range of pipe sizes and materials (e.g. PVC, aluminium, steel, concrete, synthetic plastic)
